BAKED EGGS

Use this recipe as a baseline, varying it with any of the Additions to Baked Eggs.

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease ramekins, other ovenproof dishes, or a muffin tin. For each serving, break into a ramekin or muffin cup:

  • 1 large egg

Season lightly with:

  • Salt and black pepper

Drizzle over the top:

  • 1 teaspoon heavy cream or melted butter

Bake in a water bath about 15 minutes. Garnish with:

  • (Chopped herbs)
