FRIED WONTONS

Please read about Deep-Frying.

Preheat the oven to 200°F. Prepare:

  • Wontons or Vegetable Wontons

Heat to 350°F in a deep-fryer, deep heavy pot, or Dutch oven:

  • 2 inches vegetable or peanut oil

Fry the wontons in batches, making sure they don’t stick to the bottom, until the skins are golden and crisp, 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with paper towels to drain, and place in the oven to keep warm while you fry the remaining batches. Serve with:
