CARAMEL APPLES
5 caramel apples

Insert a wooden skewer in the stem end of each of:

  • 5 medium apples, washed and dried

Place in the top of a double boiler over simmering water:

  • 1 recipe Salted Caramels or 1 pound store-bought soft caramels
  • 2 tablespoons water

Heat and stir until the caramels melt into a smooth coating. Dip the skewered apples into the sauce, twirling them until completely coated. Dry and garnish as directed in Candied Apples. If refrigerated, they will harden in a few minutes.
