CHOCOLATE TAFFY

Prepare Vanilla Taffy, cooking the syrup only to 258°F; the addition of chocolate will harden the final mixture considerably. After pouring the syrup onto the baking sheet and allowing it to cool for 5 minutes, sprinkle 3 ounces grated bittersweet, semisweet, or milk chocolate over it. Proceed as directed.
