CRÈME FRAÎCHE ICE CREAM
About 1 quart

This is an exceedingly delicious, lightly tangy take on vanilla ice cream.

Combine in a blender:

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 ½ cups Homemade Crème Fraîche
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla or vanilla bean paste
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt

Blend just until completely smooth and the sugar is dissolved, about 30 seconds. Refrigerate until cold, overnight if possible, or quick-chill in an ice water bath.

Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze as directed.
