MATCHA ICE CREAM
About 1 quart

Proceed as for Vanilla Ice Cream II, omitting the vanilla bean. Once the ice cream base reaches 175°F and coats a spoon, place 2 tablespoons matcha powder in a medium bowl. Gradually whisk the heavy cream into the matcha until there are no lumps, then whisk this into the ice cream base along with 1 teaspoon vanilla. Proceed as directed.
