CHOCOLATE FONDUE

Use for dipping fruit—pieces of pineapple, banana, or orange—or small squares of cake.

I. 1 ⅔ cups

Combine in a small saucepan and stir over low heat until smooth:

  • 1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup evaporated milk
  • (5 large marshmallows or ½ cup mini marshmallows)

Keep warm in a fondue pot.

II. 1 ½ cups

Heat in a small saucepan over medium-low heat until warm:

  • ¾ cup whole milk, light or heavy cream, coffee, or sherry

Add and cook over low heat, stirring until smooth:

  • 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or rum
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Keep warm in a fondue pot.
