HOT BROWN SUGAR SAUCE

A nonalcoholic alternative to traditional whiskey sauce.

Prepare Southern Whiskey Sauce, substituting 1 cup packed light brown sugar for the sugar, omitting the bourbon, and increasing the water to ⅓ cup. When the sauce is done, remove from the heat and stir in 1 tablespoon vanilla.
