Prepare Salted Caramel Sauce, using 4 tablespoons (½ stick) unsalted butter. After the vanilla is incorporated add 3 ounces semisweet or bittersweet chocolate (up to 64% cacao), finely chopped, and stir until melted. Serve warm.
