ADDITIONS TO PANCAKES

Gently stir any of the following into the pancake batter after the liquid and dry ingredients have been mixed together:

  • 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar (4 oz or 115g)
  • ¾ cup fresh or unthawed frozen blueberries or raspberries
  • ¾ cup finely diced or mashed ripe bananas
  • ¾ cup unsweetened pumpkin puree
  • ½ cup raisins or any finely diced soft dried fruit
  • ½ cup finely chopped toasted walnuts or pecans
  • ½ cup crumbled cooked bacon
  • ½ cup shredded sweetened coconut
  • ½ cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
