ADDITIONS TO WHITE SAUCE

Whisk into White Sauce I or II one of the following:

  • Up to 3 tablespoons drained prepared horseradish
  • 2 tablespoons Shrimp or Lobster Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons minced herbs, such as chives, parsley, tarragon, or thyme
  • 3 to 5 anchovy fillets, minced, or 1 to 2 teaspoons anchovy paste
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder or sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sherry
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
