BAKED OYSTERS ON THE HALF SHELL

Preheat the oven to 475°F. Scrub well, then shuck, leaving the oysters in the half shell and reserving the liquor:

  • 24 large oysters

Use the reserved liquor to prepare:

Cover each oyster with 1 tablespoon sauce. Sprinkle them with:

  • Dry bread crumbs

Bake until the bread crumbs are golden, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with:

  • Chopped chervil or parsley
