OVERNIGHT STEEL-CUT OATS

Sometimes cooking steel-cut oats in the morning can be a little too much to ask. With this method, you are doing your future self a favor: All you have to do in the morning is reheat the oats.

Combine in a medium saucepan:

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup steel-cut oats
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Bring to a boil, cover, then remove from the heat. Let sit overnight. In the morning, reheat and serve with your favorite oatmeal toppings.
