BECKER BRUSSELS SPROUTS
2 to 4 servings

This simple, garlicky side dish is a Thanksgiving favorite at our table.

Trim and halve through the stem:

  • 12 Brussels sprouts

Heat in a medium skillet over medium-low heat:

  • 3 tablespoons butter

Add and cook, stirring, until beginning to brown:

  • 1 or 2 garlic cloves, to taste, smashed

Discard the garlic. Place the sprouts cut side down in the garlic butter, cover, and cook over low heat until tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Arrange the sprouts on a warm platter and drizzle any remaining butter on top. Serve with, if desired:

  • (Grated Parmesan)
