SAUTÉED DATES WITH ALMONDS

These dates straddle the sweet-savory divide with grace. They can be the perfect end to an elegant dinner or part of breakfast.

Melt or heat in a medium skillet over medium heat:

  • 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil

Add and sauté until the butter starts to brown and the dates are heated through, about 2 minutes:

  • 12 large pitted dates
  • (1 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary)

Sprinkle with:

  • 3 tablespoons Marcona almonds
  • Flaky sea salt such as Maldon

Serve warm.
