Spread in a 9-inch round broilerproof baking dish or pie plate:
Mix together, then spread evenly over the fruit:
Cover and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, or for up to 8 hours. Preheat the broiler. Dust the sour cream evenly with:
so that none of the sour cream shows through. Place the dish about 6 inches from the heat and broil until the sugar caramelizes, 1 to 2 minutes. Watch closely so that the sugar does not scorch. Alternatively, use a propane torch or kitchen torch to brûlé the sugar. Serve at once.
