Peel, pit, and slice:
- 4 peaches (about 1½ pounds)
Place in a bowl and add:
- 2 cups blueberries, blackberries, or a combination
- ¼ cup sugar, or to taste
- 1 to 2 tablespoons lemon juice, or to taste
Stir gently and let sit, refrigerated, for at least 30 minutes. If desired, just before serving, stir in:
- (2 tablespoons chopped mint, tarragon, or basil)
