Prepare as desired according to Cooking Sausage Links:
- 4 hot dogs, precooked sausages, or fresh sausages
Meanwhile, toast:
- 4 hot dog buns (or hoagie rolls for larger sausages), split
If desired, spread each bun with:
Place the hot dogs in the prepared buns. Top with any of the following, to taste:
- Mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, or sriracha
- Pickle relish, Tart Corn Relish, Quick-Pickled Onions, sliced pickled peppers, sauerkraut, or kimchi
- Diced red or white onion or Sautéed Onions
- Shredded cheese, Treva’s Pimiento Cheese, or Sauce Mornay
- Any chili
- Classic Coleslaw
