BLUE CHEESE SPREAD WITH WALNUTS
About 1 ½ cups

This makes a fantastic cheese ball as well—just double the recipe to make a sizable ball and roll it in 1 cup chopped walnuts. Serve with sliced French bread, sliced apples or pears, and quartered fresh figs.

Puree in a food processor until smooth:

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup crumbled blue cheese (4 ounces)
  • (2 tablespoons port)

Scrape into a small bowl. Sprinkle with:

  • ¼ cup chopped toasted walnuts
