BECKER SOUR CREAM DIP
2 cups

For a richer dip, replace ½ cup of the sour cream with ½ cup mayonnaise.

Mix well in a large bowl:

  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Finely grated zest of 1 lemon

If desired, add one or more of the following:

  • (3 to 4 green onions, thinly sliced, or 2 tablespoons minced chives)
  • (1 tablespoon minced parsley, dill, thyme, oregano, or other fresh herbs)
  • (1 tablespoon prepared horseradish)
  • (½ cup chopped Sautéed Onions or Caramelized Onions)
  • (1 cup chopped cooked or drained canned clams)
  • (8 ounces cooked shrimp, chopped)

Chill for 1 hour before serving.
