KALE CHIPS
3 to 4 servings

You can flavor these with a variety of spices and seasonings, including nutritional yeast, garlic or onion powder, paprika, or curry powder.

Preheat the oven to 300°F. Derib:

  • 1 bunch kale (10 to 12 ounces)

Cut the kale into 3-inch pieces and toss in a bowl with:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter, melted
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Spread out the leaves into a single layer on two baking sheets. Bake until crisp, turning halfway through, 20 to 25 minutes. Taste and sprinkle with more salt, if desired. Let cool completely before serving. These are best the day they are made.
