NIKOLASHKA
The peculiar drink of Grand Duke Nicholas’s regiment, as re-created by our dear friend Sasha Vereschagin. Vashe zdorovie! To your health!
Slice as thinly as possible:
- 1 lemon
Dredge one side of each lemon slice in:
- Freshly ground coffee
Place coffee side down on a platter and sprinkle with:
- ¼ teaspoon sugar
If desired, grate over the lemon slices until they appear peppered:
- (Milk, semisweet, or dark chocolate)
Place a lemon slice in your mouth, chew for a few seconds, and quickly sip:
- Cognac
