Notoriously rich and sweet, making it a good after-dinner drink.

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add:

  • 1 ½ ounces brandy
  • ¾ ounce dark crème de cacao
  • ¾ ounce heavy cream

Shake until well chilled, about 12 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass. Garnish with:

  • A dusting of freshly grated nutmeg
