A Cuban highball well known and loved for its refreshing combination of white rum, lime juice, and mint.

Add to a cocktail shaker:

  • 6 mint leaves
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ½ ounce lime juice

Muddle until the mint leaves are well crushed. Add:

  • 2 ounces white rum

Fill the cocktail shaker with ice cubes and shake until well chilled, about 12 seconds. Strain the cocktail into a chilled highball glass filled with ice. Top off the cocktail with:

  • 2 ounces club soda

Garnish with:

  • A bushy mint sprig
