WHISKEY SOUR

Try a gin, rum, brandy, or Tequila Sour (for tequila, substitute lime juice for the lemon juice, if desired). You may also add an egg white, shaking the white with the whiskey, citrus, and sugar or syrup for 10 seconds before adding ice, then shaking 12 seconds with ice before straining into a chilled glass. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add:

  • 2 ounces blended whiskey
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Simple Syrup or sugar

Shake until well chilled, about 12 seconds. Strain into a chilled old-fashioned glass. Garnish with:

  • A lemon wheel or lemon twist and/or a maraschino cherry
