QUICK HOT CHOCOLATE OR DRINKING CHOCOLATE

I. Stir together in a small saucepan or mug:

  • ¼ cup Ganache for Hot Chocolate
  • ½ cup milk, water, or coffee

Heat over low heat, or in a microwave on high for 30 to 45 seconds, until warm but not boiling. If desired, stir in:

  • (⅛ teaspoon vanilla or ½ teaspoon Kahlúa or Grand Marnier)

Top with:

II. Bring just to a boil in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl:

  • ½ cup half-and-half

Remove from the heat and whisk in until melted:

  • 1 ounce dark, bittersweet, or semisweet chocolate (60 to 72% cacao), finely chopped
