COCOA SYRUP
1 ½ cups; enough for 12 servings Quick Hot Cocoa

This syrup is quick and easy to prepare, and its flavor far exceeds anything you can buy. It can be used to make hot and cold cocoa drinks alike.

Whisk together in a medium saucepan:

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup sugar

Add and stir to combine:

  • 1 cup cold water
  • (½ cup malted milk powder)

Bring just to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and let cool. Store covered at room temperature for several days, or refrigerate for up to 3 weeks. To liquefy refrigerated syrup, heat on the stove or in the microwave.


Beverages
